Extra-curricular Clubs 

We offer an exciting range of clubs which your child can get involved with.

The following is what is being offered for this term.

Choir Lessons (Tuesdays)

Mrs Duthie-Carr will be continuing with her KS2 auditioned choir (Tuesdays 3.15-4pm) but will not be taking on any new applicants for the Spring term.

Mr Gardner runs his choir on Tuesdays 3.15-4pm. This choir is open for Year 1 to Year 6.

The aim of this choir is for those to then progress onto Mrs Duthie-Carr's auditioned choir. Those students who already have places in his choir will be automatically continued for the summer term.

Norfolk Music Service - Violin/Brass/Keyboard (Y3-Y6)

The Norfolk Music Service provide the following lessons to children during the school day and students are seen in groups of 4 for 20 minutes and pay £3.25, inclusive of instrument hire.

Violin Lessons - Tuesday afternoons during class time

Brass Lessons - Wednesday mornings during class time

Keyboard Lessons - Thursday mornings during class time

Please note that for all Norfolk Music Service clubs/lessons we require payment termly in advance and we require one term's notice if your child wishes to withdraw.

Mrs Duthie-Carr's Flute Lessons (Y3-6)

The school offers Flute lessons for students at £3 per weekly session, this is taught on a self-employed basis by Mrs Duthie-Carr with booking via the School Office.

Beginners Flute lessons take place on Wednesday lunchtimes with the Intermediate group on Friday lunchtimes.

The current beginners class is full but we do have a waiting list for the next beginners group.

Mrs Duthie-Carr's Keyboard Lessons (Y2-Y6)

The school offers keyboard lessons for students at £3 per weekly session, this is taught on a self-employed basis by Mrs Duthie-Carr with booking via the School Office.

Beginners keyboard takes place on Thursdays at 8am with the intermediate class at 12.30pm.

Keyboard does have a waiting list. Please email office@eatonprimary.org.uk stating your child's name/class and desired instrument.

Piano Time 1 by Pauline Hall

Mrs Duthie-Carr's Recorder Lessons (Y2-6) 

The school offers recorder lessons for students at £3 per weekly session, this is taught on a self-employed basis by Mrs Duthie-Carr, with booking via the School Office.

Recorder takes place on Wednesdays at 8am.

Beginners Recorder does currently have spaces. Please email office@eatonprimary.org.uk stating your child's name/class and desired instrument.

Orchestra Y3-Y6 (Norfolk Music Service)

The Norfolk Music Service run Orchestra on Thursdays 3.15-4.15pm for students that currently have music tuition inside or outside of school (students must have their own instrument).

Rocksteady (Reception to Y6) Mondays 

Rocksteady attends Eaton Primary School on Mondays to perform music lessons during the school day.

Lessons are open for children from Reception to Y6 and they can choose to play either vocals, electric guitar, drums, bass, or keyboards in their very own band. All instruments are provided and no previous experience is necessary.

Children progress through a 300-skill curriculum learning band, performance and instrument skills and work towards the official Rocksteady Ofqual-regulated, exam-free music qualification, accredited by Trinity College London.

You can follow your child’s progress through your own online portal via the Rocksteady Parent Timeline as well as seeing how far your child has come when they perform in their termly concert.

Ukulele Club For Years 2 and 3 (Wednesdays) and Years 4-6 (Mondays)

Learn to play the ukulele with music leader Clara Wiseman.

This popular 4-stringed instrument is a great introduction to making music - it’s fun to sing along with and perfect for small hands.

Ukuleles provided until you get your own.

Gymnastics - Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 students (Fridays)

Premier Education Gymnastics - Spring Term.pdf

Premier have partnered up with British Gymnastics to become their only nationwide primary school delivery partner. As a ‘foundation sport’, gymnastics uses strength, stability, flexibility, coordination and balance and has been shown to improve attention span.

It’s all about teaching children the fundamental movement skills they need to lead a physically active and healthy life, full of sport and recreation.

This course runs from 17th January to 28th March 2025 and is available to book from Friday 6 December at 11.30am. £57.80 for the course.
