Mathematics

At Eaton Primary School our vision is for all children and all in our school community to develop a love of mathematics in which we are both supported and challenged to develop our understanding of facts, methods and strategies.

Curriculum

At Eaton Primary School we use the White Rose as our curriculum overview. Teachers use this to plan for their year group, ensuring that the sequence of learning matches the needs of the children they are teaching.

Please see below for the curriculum overviews for each year group, including Early Years Foundation Stage.

Calculation Policy

We use the White Rose calculation guidance as our calculation policy. This is because it links to the long term plans that we use and therefore ensures progression for children from year to year, building on what they have learned previously.

Pupil Voice

Watch this space to see what children have been saying about maths at Eaton Primary School!

How can I help my child in maths?

  • Times Table Rock Stars Children need to know all their times tables (from 1x1 to 12x12) by the end of year four. Times Table Rock Stars is an excellent way for children to do this!
  • Top Marks Games Here are some brilliant, age specific games for children to practise their number facts. Have fun!
  • NRICH Would you like to further explore maths, or simply keep going with that amazing investigation that you started in school? NRICH is a brilliant place to do this!
